The dream of Puerto Vallarta

Can you imagine the place where John Houston went to adventure outside the laws of men? In 1963, Houston show to the world their paradise filming The night of the Iguana with Richard Burton, Ava Gardner and Beborah Kerr. Thanks to this project, a hotel and resort complex, La Joya de Mismaloya, has been built at the bayfront of the village of Mismaloya; it maintains the film's old sets as restaurants and tourist attractions. La Joya de Mismaloya is actually a group of privately owned condominiums on Banderas Bay, and is in the vicinity of the abandoned set of The Night of The Iguana. The resort complex aforementioned is Barceló, an all-inclusive resort situated a few kilometers to the north of La Joya de Mismaloya, at the bayfront of Mismaloya.

The other place linked with Houston in Puerto Vallarta was Las Caletas. Was once the private home of film director who considered it one of the most beautiful places in the world. Nestled in a secluded nature preserve on the southern shores of Banderas Bay. Las Caletas is now a exclusive tropical beach.
